| Abstract: | This thesis examines the damage inflicted on the solar power plant at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, by Cyclone Amphan, which struck in May 2020, and proposes a series of design modifications aimed at enhancing the plant's resilience against future cyclonic events. Cyclone Amphan was one of the most powerful storms to hit the Bay of Bengal in over two decades, causing extensive destruction across West Bengal, including significant impacts on renewable energy infrastructures. The solar plant at Jadavpur University, a crucial component of the university's commitment to sustainable energy, experienced notable damage, highlighting the need for a detailed assessment and subsequent fortification against such extreme weather events. |
