| Abstract: | ABSTRACT The conventional MPPT methods like Perturbation & Observation, Incremental Conductance, Hill Climbing can track the maximum power point (MPP) in photovoltaic systems in stable environmental conditions only. The performances of these methods are not satisfactory when temperature and insolation varies rapidly. Modified Adaptive Hill Climbing Method (MAHC)and β method can track the MPP under varying atmospheric conditions also. Simulations of the techniques were done in the MATLAB environment. The performances of the said techniques under variable environmental conditions are studied in the thesis. |
