dc.descriptionSon of Madhav Chandra Sinha of Bara Jagulia in Nadia district. Madhav Chandra came to Calcutta and secured contract for the construction of roads etc. in Bhowanipore. He made money and constructed a house for himself in Puddopukur Road. Gopal Chandra had a generous heart and gave money freely for the improvement of his village. Being a nationalist and a patriot he supported the national movements. He endowed property worth Rs. 1.2 lakhs on the Council for Agricultural Education. Being a philanthropist he made lavish provisions in his will for the benefit of hospitals. Died on 14th April 1926.en_US
