| Abstract: | Synthesization and characterization of novel composite GO-TiO2-MnFe2O4 to efficiently remove various dye from water has been carried out. The magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized through chemical precipitation using sodium hydroxide in one pot method. Based on the advantages of graphene oxide, TiO2, and Manganese ferrite the nanocomposite exhibited visible light absorption, magnetic properties, and adsorption capacity. On characterization, X-ray diffraction results revealed the formation of pure crystalline nanoparticles. Chemical bond energy was confirmed through Fourier transform infrared Spectroscopy analysis. Scanning Electron Microscopy showed spherical shaped nanoparticles. Confirm the size range of the nano-particle in nano-range (>100 mm). Nano-particle size was found to be 65.4 to 92.7mm. Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis confirmed high purity for the synthesized nanoparticles. Isotherms and kinetic studies were performed to explore the sorption mechanism. The experiments fitted well with Langmuir model and pseudo-First order was the best fit for Victoria blue and Methylene Blue. Brilliant green adsorption follows the Freundlich isotherm and pseudo-1st-order kinetic models. Results demonstrate that methyl blue (MB) adsorptive removal capacity reaches 97.12% within 145 min and maximum uptake value is 188.7 mg/gm. Various research work consistently demonstrates the exceptional magnetic properties of MnFe2O4. Due to the remarkable magnetic properties exhibited by the synthesized material, the process of easily separating it becomes feasible, thereby enabling its subsequent reuse post the completion of the adsorption experiment. This advantageous characteristic of the material not only aids in efficient separation but also contributes to promoting sustainability by facilitating its repeated utilization. Therefore, the magnetic nanoparticles can be used as potential nano adsorbent for the degradation of dyes without affecting the environment. |
