Abstract: Unrestricted discharge of dyes in waste water over the years has shown grave concern in the environmental pollution. Researchers have found various adsorbent to check the removal of these menacing dyes affecting the environment. In these paper in order to extract methylene blue (MB) dye from an aqueous medium, the fabrication of Chitosan on Graphene Oxide (CS-GO) composite beads was examined in this work using continuous dropping procedures. Both before and after the MB was adsorbed, the produced beads were characterized using a variety of methods like SEM,FTIR,XRD and DLS. The SEM micrograph demonstrates that Chitosan was successfully deposited on the rough graphene oxide composites. The maximal shift of graphene oxide peak has been detected using XRD data due to broad spectrum Peak of Chitosan. According to the FTIR analysis, as due to red shift in graphene oxide Chitosan composites due to treatment with MB, fewer oxygen-containing functional groups are present. In DLS, there is difference in particle size of GO and CS-GO due to agglomeration of the two compounds. The adsorption processes were found to fit both the Langmuir isotherm and the kinetic Intra diffusion particle models, according to the experimental results. Additionally, the maximum adsorption capacities of 1.633 mg g−1 achieved by the CS-GO beads were equivalent to those of other adsorbents reported in the literature. Our adsorbent's ability to eliminate 91% of the actual sample color in 24 hours is a significant benefit. After 4 cycles of regeneration of the adsorbent, a minor drop in removal efficiency was observed.
